Anneka Rice, 58, wows This Morning viewers with youthful appearance
The Eighties TV star very rarely appears on the telly these days
ANNEKA Rice delighted fans as she made a very rare TV appearance today.
The 58-year-old appeared on This Morning to discuss her volunteer work for the organisation FiSH- a group which gives practical support and aims to combat loneliness in Barnes, Mortlake & East Sheen.
But her impressive charity work was somewhat overshadowed by her age-defying appearance which those watching at home couldn’t resist commenting on.
The TV presenter – who is best known for her role on Treasure Hunt – looked like she had barely aged a day since she appeared on the show back in the Eighties.
Commenting on her youthful appearance, one viewer tweeted: “But you've not aged in 30 years!!”
While another said: “She looks great for her age!”
And someone else tweeted: “Anneka Rice looking amazing for 58 on ITV - wonderful work with the elderly and good memories of Treasure Hunt.”
Others were less polite about her visage, with one man joking: “Is anneka rice's face being affected by the gravitational pull of the super moon??? #ThisMorning.”
“Wow not seen Anneka rice on tv in years. Does she look abit plastic in the face these days?#thismorning,” asked someone else.
While a further person commented: “How much work has Anneka Rice had done on her face 😐 #ThisMorning.”
Anneka was a TV favourite back in the Eighties when she appeared on the hugely popular Treasure Hunt between 1982-1988.
She then of course hosted Challenge Anneka which ran for five years and amassed a cult following.
Speaking last year about the aging process, the TV presenter, told The Telegraph: “As an older person, you become so invisible, which is great. You are not of any interest to anyone.”
She went on to say she just sees the same four female presenter doing every BBC show, admitting: “Everyone has their time. I feel completely cool about it; it doesn't bother me at all. It is just quite funny to observe.
“Usually men are revered as older people and you never see older women on telly. Who would be the oldest? There is Tess Daly… she is about 12. There's no one coming out warts and all.”
