FORMER Disney child star Demi Lovato has been quick to shed the cutesy public image since striking out as a solo singer.

The Skyscraper singer, who identifies as non-binary and has started using they/them pronouns, announced in 2021 a collaboration with the brand Bellesa on a gender-neutral sex toy, the Demi Wand, costing £58.

Demi, 30, tweeted: “I wanted to create my own sex toy to take the stigma away from pleasure, and to take your sexual relationship to the next level.

“We have spent far too long pretending we are not sexual beings.

“It’s time for us to put this stigma to rest. We are all deserving of pleasure. We are all deserving of orgasms.”

HER best-known role was in 2015 bonkbuster film Fifty Shades Of Grey, so it’s no wonder Dakota Johnson sees herself as a bit of a sexpert.

She said: “I’m a sexual person, and when I’m interested in something, I want to know so much about it.

“That’s why I did those big naked movies.”

And for Dakota, 33, who has been dating Coldplay singer Chris Martin for nearly five years, it’s not all an act.

In 2020 she became an investor and co-creative director for sexual wellness brand Maude, which stocks cutesy sex accessories.

She said: “To me, taking care of your body in a sexual way should be the same as taking care of your body in terms of nutrients, skincare, exercise, etc.

“Sex is important and special.”

NOT just a singer and actress, Lily Allen is also “Chief Liberation Officer” of sex toy brand Womanizer.

The special-edition Lily Allen Liberty vibrator promises an orgasm in seconds but will set you back £89.

But we’re sure she would be the first to say you can’t put a price on pleasure.

The Smile singer has candidly admitted that sex used to be “not really about my own enjoyment” and she didn’t have an orgasm until her mid-20s.

Mum-of-two Lily, 37, said: “Sex toys are still seen as a taboo. Female pleasure in itself is a taboo subject.

“The only way to make subjects no longer taboo is to speak about them openly, frequently and without shame or guilt.”

In 2019, pictures of her and her now ex Ashley Benson with a £365 leather “sex bench” appeared all over the internet.

The next year she came out as pansexual – meaning she can be attracted to any sex.

And now Cara, 30, is the co-owner of sex toy firm Lora DiCarlo, and says she wants “to take ownership of my orgasm”.

She added: “Women have the same urges and needs as any other person, yet we are ashamed to talk about how we take care of our own pleasure.

“I hope to help break down the barriers and show that it’s a topic we can openly and confidently discuss.”

It even led to a six-part Netflix series, with one episode dedicated to understanding sex and female pleasure.

Gwyneth, 50, quit acting to focus on Goop, and said: “Repressing sexuality and specifically female pleasure has been a mechanism of control for a long time.

'Tired of celebs banging on about their sex lives'

By Kate Taylor, Sun Sexpert

IS it just me, or are you getting slightly tired of celebrities banging on about their sex lives in a bid to sell us their branded range of sex toys, lingerie or candles that smell like their bits?

I’m 100 per cent for female empowerment, and it’s amazing that we can talk about sex, and masturbation, so openly now.

But does it have to become every feisty female’s side-hustle?

What’s next, Prue Leith with a range of crotchless aprons?

Or Mrs Hinch launching an Ariel pod designed for the morning after?

It’s fabulous to have celebrities endorsing female health causes, like Davina McCall’s menopause mission.

But we really don’t need sexual products to be endorsed by big names.

What works for one person can be a total turn-off for another.

Don’t buy sex toys just because you want an A-list orgasm.

While Christina’s range might work for you, I can’t guarantee you'll be hitting the high notes.
