The musician was married to wife Rina, who he married in 2005, and stayed out of the spotlight throughout his career.

Who is Mark Sheehan’s wife, Rina Sheehan?

Mark met Rina, an American backing singer, back in the early 200s after the star jetted off to the US to write and produce music.

The pair met on the road as Rina, from Texas, was brought into the studio as a backing singer while Mark worked in studios.

He told the Irish Mirror in 2008: “Rina is from Texas, we met on the road. I was producing and working in different studios.

“We just kind of clicked in the usual way you do. We got married three years ago.”

Rina stayed out of the spotlight during Mark’s fame, and did not appear in the public eye alongside the band.

Mark and Rina shared three children together, before his tragic death was announced on April 14 after a short battle with illness.

They welcomed their first child back in 2008, with Rina induced into labour with their eldest child Cameron.
