KATIE Price has been slammed by road safety campaigners for driving a 3-tonne monster motor wearing flimsy slip-on backless shoes just days after getting her licence back.
The 44-year-old, who had been banned from driving following a booze and cocaine-fuelled car crash, took to the wheel of the left-hand drive Hummer in a pair of green sliders.
She was spotted in the 15-foot long, 7ft wide American car, which has enormous tyres, near her “Mucky Mansion” home on Sunday afternoon.
Katie was only allowed back on the road on Friday and was all smiles as she was pictured stepping out of the giant car in green co-ordinated loungewear.
John Scruby, from the Campaign Against Drink Driving, said tonight (April 17): “Those are the sort of shoes you’d expect somewhere to wear at a swimming pool - not driving a huge car like that with her driving record.
“It’s an absolute disgrace and is very dangerous. She’s putting herself and other road users at risk.

“I don’t see how you’d safely be able to control such a car while wearing those shoes.”
Meanwhile, questions were being asked as to how the bankrupt celebrity could afford the £60,000 motor which has a personalised number plate.
Despite her appalling record, her two-year ban after crashing her car while over the drink-drive limit was reduced.
The 44-year-old was sentenced in December 2021 after flipping the vehicle, and was given a suspended 16-week jail term.

Judge Amanda Kelly said Price had “one of the worst driving records I have seen”.
But her lawyer negotiated due to her “mental health” at the time of her sentencing and argued PTSD and a suicide attempt was the reason she drove while under the influence.
She completed a drink-drive rehabilitation course to get back on the road early after her sixth ban last year.
The Hummer she was seen driving is the same weight as a white rhino and is wider than a minibus.
Other celebs who have driven them include David Beckham and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Katie was all smiles as she was pictured stepping out of the car in green co-ordinated loungewear.
The Highway Code does not say anything specific about driving without shoes but Rule 97 says: “You should ensure that clothing and footwear do not prevent you using the controls in the correct manner.”
The move has infuriated campaigners and ex-cops. John Scruby added: “This is outrageous. “It’s disturbing. It takes the mick.
“She has shown absolutely no responsibility. She has played the system throughout - it’s terrible.
“Price should have been jailed over the drink-drive crash. She has a truly shocking driving record and doesn’t seem to care.
“It’s totally disrespectful.
“She hasn’t driven for a considerable period of time and to be wearing such flimsy footwear shows a total disregard for anyone else.”
Mr Scruby - who has spent the last 42 years trying to prevent road deaths as a campaigner and former cop - said he was “appalled” at her behaviour.
He added: “She knows she can get away with it and will continue to have that attitude until she faces real consequences for what she has done.”
Former Met cop Peter Bleksley said: “This is shocking.
“It sets a terrible example. There was clearly an argument she should have been jailed.
“The footwear is completely inappropriate. She wouldn’t have been used to driving for a very long time. It’s simply wrong.
“This is a two-finger insult. It’s a kick in the teeth to people who have been injured in crashes or the families of those killed because of bad driving.
“She’s very lucky not to be in jail - yet is swanning around like that.
“It’s reckless behaviour. She’s not learned her lesson.”
Her ban was due to expire later this year after being banned for two years in December 2021 for crashing her car while over the drink-drive limit and disqualified with no insurance.
It's the first time she's been seen driving again since then.
In that crash she was rescued by a passer-by from the wreckage of her BMW X5 on the B2135 at Partridge Green, West Sussex — three miles from her home — at 6am on September 28, 2021.
She was found slumped in the passenger seat by the man, who smashed the window and dragged her to safety.
Katie was nearly twice the drink-drive limit and told cops “I don’t care” when her cocaine swab test came back positive.
She had been drinking and snorting coke all night and blew a reading of 66 micrograms of alcohol per 100ml of breath.
The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
She told officers at the scene: “I am guilty. I had alcohol. I took drugs. I should not be driving. I admit it all.”
Environmental campaigners have repeatedly warned of the dangers Hummer vehicles pose to the environment.
Last week Katie dodged a court hearing for a fifth time to answer questions on her bankruptcy woes.
She had been expected to appear in person at the bankruptcy court in London to be asked how much cash she makes from stripping off online and selling her old clothes when she finally faces the music over her monster £3.2million debts.

But officials revealed the case had been adjourned at the last minute and a new date has now been arranged for July.
A spokeswoman for Price confirmed she was able to drive again but did not respond to comment on her shoes.
