Katie Price mum-shamed for ‘dangerous parenting error’ as daughter Bunny, 8, joins TikTok and launches YouTube career

KATIE Price has been accused of making a "dangerous parenting error" after letting daughter Bunny, eight, join social media sites.

Mum-of-five Katie, 44, has allowed Bunny to sign up to TikTok and YouTube even though she's under the required age of 13.

However, under YouTube's guidelines, children of any age can use the service if they have the permission of a parent or guardian.

So far, Bunny has posted 49 videos on TikTok, which she has synced across to a YouTube channel, and has minimal subscribers.

Some of Katie's followers have voiced their displeasure, with one writing: "This is disgusting she's only 8 she shouldn't be on here."

Another said: "Dangerous and stupid - she needs to delete her account."

A third posted: "Too young - how is Katie allowing her to be on here?"

Parenting specialist  has outlined the dangers facing children on social media.

She said: "Firstly, the internet is full of strangers and, even if you think you are chatting or interacting with someone you know, you might not be. At age 8, this will be very hard to understand and so will be at risk of impersonators, meaning that children may overshare information and be part of inappropriate conversations.

"Due to social media apps bringing age restrictions, at age 8, it is unlikely that they will see content that is always appropriate for them - it could be harmful or hurtful and totally unreliable, so if they share something they may be getting themselves into a tricky situation.
And lastly, children will be exposed to bullies and people who may want to groom them."

Katie was banned from TikTok in December for violating the app's children's policy.

A source told The Sun at the time: "Katie has been reported for putting Bunny and Jett on TikTok.

"They are both under 13, which violates the social media's policy. Worried fans got in touch and she's now been banned."

Katie subsequently blamed Bunny for using her TikTok without her permission.

Katie has 2.6million Instagram followers and often shares promotional posts as well as pictures and videos from her personal life with fans.

She was previously criticised for sharing makeup tutorials with Bunny and for using facial filters that some fans have deemed inappropriate.
