Becky Hill begs Daisy May Cooper to call her after accidental snub and reveals why she’s put her wedding on hold
BECKY HILL has been left mortified after accidentally ghosting her comedy hero Daisy May Cooper.
The singer takes over today’s Bizarre in a bid to make amends with the Rain Dogs actress, who she hit it off with at the Brits in February.
In fact, Becky sobbed when she realised she had unintentionally snubbed her — and is now desperate to make it up to her, as Daisy appears to now be ignoring her.
The two-time Brit award winner revealed: “I accidentally ghosted Daisy May Cooper. I met her at the Brits and I f**ing love her. I’m like, in love with her.
“Then I watched Rain Dogs, which is her new series, on iPlayer, and I went into my DMs to message her to say I loved it. And I realised that after we’d been talking at the Brits, she had invited me for a boozy roast and I never got back to her.
“And I cried when I read the message, like, ‘I’ve missed Daisy May Cooper! We were going to go for a roast together! I’m such a bad person’.

"I sent her this string of messages like, ‘I’m so f***ing sorry, can we go for this roast? Here’s my number’ and she still hasn’t read it.”
Now she is making a public plea for the This Country star to forgive her — and reply.
Becky continued: “Please put the headline: ‘Daisy May Cooper, please call Becky’.
“It’s tragic, that’s what it is. I’m gutted. I’m so sad. I have sent her seven messages.

“At the Brits, I fell in love with her and we were chatting. I need a campaign to get Daisy May Cooper in a pub. Tell her the roast is on me.”
This is a celebrity friendship which needs to happen.
These two in a room would be a hoot.
Becky can't wait for Glastonbury
A DECADE after being a guest vocalist for Rudimental’s Glastonbury set, Becky is thrilled to have her own slot at next month’s festival, on the Sunday.
She revealed: “I said last year, ‘If I don’t get Glastonbury next year, I’m quitting’. So getting that was the saviour. I have little moments where I cry because of how overwhelmed I am.
"The last time I did Glastonbury was with Rudimental. I was overing for Ella Eyre, who had dropped out to do her own shows. I was 19.
"We’re gearing up to have an incredible show. I’ve got string players and brass players and six dancers and a stage design.”
She also plans to see Glasto gigs: “Thursday and Friday I’ll be there, Saturday I’ll go off to Bath, have a spa, then go back on Sunday and stay until Monday.”
Ibiza calls
BECKY kicks off her Ibiza Rocks residency tomorrow and will be performing there weekly throughout the summer.
But she will hope the crowd’s antics are less X-rated than last year.
Recalling one set at the venue, which includes pools and dancefloors, she said: “There were definitely a couple of people shagging in the pool.
“I wondered why everyone was splashing each other in the pool but I think some people there having sex with each other.”
Side Effects of music success
THE singer has just returned with Side Effects – the first single from her as-yet untitled second album – and has put her life on hold to make it a success.
She got engaged at the start of last year to long-term partner Charlie Gardner, who works in the events industry.
But Becky has told him she can’t think about them settling down while still flying high with her music.
She explained: “I’ve been so anxious about releasing this new music because there’s a level of, like, ‘This has to f***ing work’. “I’m 30 next year. I’m trying to plan a life with my fiancé.
“We’ve put everything on hold for the moment because I need to see what happens and where work goes. I’m hoping it will just go up and up and up and my plan for world domination goes incredibly well.
“But it’s a scary prospect that you see all the time – people coming and going.
“Over the last 11 years I’ve been in the music industry, I’ve seen people come and go and it’s terrifying. As much as I like to go, ‘Ah, f it, it’s all going wrong, I’m going to leave and start my own doggy day care centre’, I would be miserable, I know I would.

“If I didn’t have music in my life, I wouldn’t have a lot else.”
Of her belting new tune, Becky added: “It’s meant to be less about crying on your own over a break-up and more about that phase of a relationship of break-up where you’re getting over them but they’re still lingering there in the background.”
