I’m A Celebrity camp divided as Danny Baker is branded a ‘bully’ following bitter rows with Martin Roberts
AFTER a few days of the calm, the storm has well and truly arrive in the I’m A Celebrity camp.
Last night viewers of the ITV show were left conflicted following the fallout between Danny Baker and Martin Roberts.
For some the fault lies with broadcaster Danny – with many viewers branding him a ‘bully’ after Martin broke down in tears.
But others believe it is Homes Under The Hammer’s Martin who is causing the friction within the once harmonious camp.
It’s not just the viewers who are confused those – some of their fellow campmates have been struggling to pick sides, while others appear to be more easily led.
Commenting on Danny’s, 59, behaviour, one viewer wrote: “Danny Baker reminds me of a playground bully: brings out the worst of a group around him and kicks people when they're down, boo #ImACeleb.”
“Hate #DannyBaker & his merry band of minions. Funny how 1 idiot can change the nicest people. He's a smug bully. #ImACeleb,” tweeted someone else.
Another remarked: “DannyBaker is a bully. He will kick Martin now he is down. Lets see who stands up to him first.”
And someone else wrote: “Danny Baker is a bully. Martin may be a pain but no need to talk to him like that. Big mistake to put these 2 in. #ImACeleb.”
Others think Maritn is equally as fault, with one viewer remarking: “#DannyBaker = bully. Get him out. Martin, grow a pair #ImACeleb.”
The grown-men's latest row saw Danny take on Martin over Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt, accusing him of her treating her like “some silly kid” – with Martin later reduced to tears over the confrontation.
It began when he had a run-in with Camp President Scarlett over keeping the camp stocked with water and it all became too much for him.
After enjoying a dinner of hare, thanks to Martin winning eight stars in the earlier Bushtucker Trial, Carol and Lisa noticed there wasn’t enough water for the clean-up.
Carol flagged this to Adam who was part of the camp maintenance team with Martin.
Camp President Scarlett suggested that Martin join Adam as it was a lot of carrying but he ignored her request and this was the last straw for Danny.
Danny snapped at him: “Martin, she’s the President mate, whatever she says to do, you do it.”
It quickly escalated and ended with Martin apologising to his fellow stars, in a flood of hysterical tears.
Danny's wife Wendy has since defended him telling the : “I’ve been married to him for 35 years and he’s never come across as a bully.
“Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, it doesn’t affect anything really.”
