Although fairly small, at 60 cm long, the venom from the glossy skinned creature packs a punch that can leave their prey needing urgent medical attention.

The snake had crept into camp hot on the heels of a mouse that was lurking around Joel’s bed.

The arachnids – known as the Funnel Web Spider – were later removed after being found in a camera hide located near the celebrity camp mate beds, according to the Mirror.
