Kanye West doing ‘much better’ after he was hospitalised following ‘psychotic break’
KANYE West is “doing much better” following his hospitalisation on Monday, according to a new report.
The rapper suffered a “psychotic break” and was taken to hospital in Los Angeles on Monday.
Kanye is currently at the UCLA Medical Center where insiders say he is receiving treatment for a “mental breakdown”.
A source told : “He just needed some rest.
“[Kim] is currently with Kanye right now at his side.
“Kim feels more connected to Kanye than ever. Their marriage is doing great.”
Kanye, 39, was believed to have been held in hospital involuntary psychiatric hold for his own safety following the alleged altercation at a gym 48 hours ago.
However, it's since been suggested the hip-hop superstar agree to be admitted for treatment at the facility on the advice of his doctor and he went with the medics willingly.
An insider told People.com: “There was a small altercation at the gym but he was deemed medically stable and decided to seek medical help at his doctor’s request...
“He is exhausted and currently dealing with sleep deprivation…
“He went to the hospital at will under the advice of his physician. He’s fine.”
The source added that Kanye “was not restrained” and that “he went freely.”
Kanye was admitted to hospital in LA on Monday and reports suggest the rapper was “handcuffed” to a stretcher after a call was made to the emergency services at 1:20PM to respond to a “medical emergency.”
The source added: “We’re super confident he’s going to pull through.”
Fans have been voicing concern for the star since the news of his hospitalisation broke, and many have been speculating about the possible reasons behind his health crisis.
Kanye has endured a tough time in recent weeks as his wife Kim fell victim to a violent robbery in Paris last month.
She pulled out of her first public appearance since the ordeal to be at his side.
