Strictly Come Dancing star Ed Balls reveals he cranks up ‘Ibiza club anthems’ to get ready for his high-octane performances
The former politician has been described as the show's comedy act
FORMER politician Ed Balls has revealed he cranks up the 'Ibiza club anthems' to get ready for his energetic performances on Strictly Come Dancing.
Ed, 49, made the surprising revelation as he admitted he's a fan of the Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne track Rather Be.
Discussing his pre-performance routine on the BBC show, he told : "We do warm-up to Rather Be. That’s nice. But it’s not like being in a changing room an hour before kick-off at Wembley."
The Sun revealed this week that killjoy Strictly bosses have added an extra dance to Saturday's show to help boot off the former Shadow Chancellor.
Ed, alongside his partner Katya Jones, will have to compete in a new Cha Cha Challenge as well as perform another funny routine.
It is a style in which Ed previously scored poor marks and struggled with the technique on the Halloween show.

It's said that producers are secretly keen to get rid because they want attention to be on dancing rather than his comedy performances.
An insider said: “The challenge is almost definitely set to place Ed bottom of the judge’s leaderboard.
"He’s the worst dancer on paper and even if he nails his rehearsed dance, he’s set to be voted off by judges."
