STRICTLY Come Dancing star Ore Oduba squealed when he was faced with a large parrot on This Morning.

Ore, who’s standing in for Phillip Schofield on the show, struggled to keep his emotions in check as The Speakmans tried to help him overcome his phobia.

With the help of his co-host Holly Willoughby, Ore was greeted by a large parrot, called Indie, and tried to use the coping mechanisms he’d been taught.

Standing up gingerly, the BBC sports presenter started to breathe deeply as he stood next to the large parrot.

Holly asked if Ore was feeling alright and he appeared to be coping fine, until he was asked whether to touch the bird.

He bravely reached his hand forward and tenderly stroked its feathers as Holly and The Speakmans told him how well he was doing.

it was the moment Ore was asked to hold the parrot however when he started to panic.

The handler helped him get the bird onto his arm and Ore started to look increasingly worried.

Ore sweetly asked if he could have some time away from the bird and squealed when it suddenly moved.

When the parrot left his arm he slumped over a chair before sitting down and admitting his heart was racing.

The presenter's fans praised his bravery for trying to overcome his fear.

Ore is standing in for Phillip after he was tied up with other filming commitments.

The Strictly star has taken out time from rehearsals to take part in the show and has been well received by viewers of the ITV daytime show.
