Nineties popstar looks totally different 33 years after hit smashed the charts

THE Nineties icon now looks worlds away 33 years after her chart hit, Hold On.

The singer looks nothing like she did when she was in the pop band that dominated the charts in the 1990s.

Terry Ellis, 59, who rose to fame as a member of the R&B/pop group En Vogue, took to and revealed a recent selfie of herself, in which she appears to have changed drastically.

In the photo Terry is seen in a tour bus with her band mates on their way to their first tour date.

In another picture Terry poses for a make-up free selfie while wearing a red cap and has her hair braided in a pony tail.

She looks drastically different from how loyal 90's fans would recognise her. Her full-glam appearance is no more.

The actress went makeup free as she sported a camel-coloured straw hat and a cosy grey jumper while making a peace sign to the camera.

Terry captioned the post: "Ready. Set. Go!!!! Travel day to 1st tour date in Alabama.";

Fans were taken aback by how drastically different Terri looks now, as they took to the comments section to compliment her.

One wrote: "You look great! Safe travels ladies."

A second added: "Keep shinning ladies."

A third commented: "Go girl! Travel safe."

The American artist was best known as a member of the R&B/pop vocal group En Vogue which formed in 1989.

The band's hit song, "Hold On" peaked at number give in the UK and number two on the in the US.

Furthermore, the song topped the Billboard Dance Club Songs and Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts.

R&B group, En Vogue, was formed in Oakland, California, in 1989.

The original lineup consisted of singers Terry Ellis, Dawn Robinson, Cindy Herron, and Maxine Jones.

However, this has changed as Dawn left the group in 1997 and Maxine exited in 2001.

Amanda Cole then replaced Maxine but left the band in 2003, and Rhona Bennett joined the group that same year during the recording of their album Soul Flower.

The group's 1992 follow-up album Funky Divas reached the top 10 in both the US and UK and included their second US number two hit, My Lovin' (You're Never Gonna Get It), as well as the US top 10 hits Giving Him Something He Can Feel and Free Your Mind.

In 1996, Don't Let Go (Love) became the group's third and most successful single to reach number two in the US, and became their sixth number one on the US R&B chart.
