Darcey Bussell reveals she wants bumbling Ed Balls out of Strictly this weekend amid claims show bosses are plotting against him
Darcey revealed yesterday Ed wouldn't be in the competition if it were up to her
STRICTLY judge Darcey Bussell wants Ed Balls axed amid claims the show’s bosses have decided his time is up.
The ex-ballerina wants to see the fans’ favourite and former MP culled — even before seeing him perform in tomorrow's dance double.
Darcey made her position clear on Radio 2’s The Chris Evans Breakfast Show yesterday.
Chris asked her to imagine Ed had done his dances but that the public phone lines had not worked and she had the deciding vote.
The host asked: “Is he through to the next week, or is he off the show?” Darcey exclaimed: “Out!”
Ann Widdecombe, the show’s most successful novelty act, said the BBC would “make certain” he fails “by giving more power to the judges”.
But Ed’s partner Katya Jones insisted: “We can get to the final.”
Former Shadow Chancellor Ed, repeatedly last on the leaderboard, keeps dodging the dance-off due to a massive public vote.
Olympic long jumper Greg Rutherford, 30, and model Daisy Lowe, 27, have been axed in the last two deciders.
Ed struggled with the cha-cha in the Halloween show and rates the dance a “nightmare”.

Katya, 27, reckons they could go through and would not be embarrassed if they did at the expense of celebrities deemed better dancers.
She said: “Whoever the audience thinks deserves to win, will win. If we went all the way to the final I wouldn’t feel embarrassed because I know how hard he’s worked.
“I don’t think he gets nearly enough credit for his dancing. He’s pretty good.”
