Removal men have been seen moving things out of the £3.5million rented pad.

It comes a month after lawyers acting for the landlord issued the 30-year-old star with a demand for £77,600 in missed rent, threatening to petition the courts for her bankruptcy if she failed to pay up.

It is understood Miss Lohan managed to raise enough funds to keep the bailiffs at bay.

The troubled actress is now residing in the £400 a night Blakes hotel.

Meanwhile, this week Lindsay revealed that she wouldn't be switching the Christmas lights on in Kettering due to her her "busy schedule"- even though she promised.

In a video sent out on Thursday afternoon to her followers, the actress and singer wished the residents of the town a happy holidays and said she wished she could have made it.

"Hi everyone in Kettering, it's Lindsay Lohan,"

"I really wanted to make it there to light the tree but with my busy schedule I wasn't able to, and I appreciate the offer. Happy holidays!"

She tweeted "Kettering wish I could be with you today, sending all my [love]."

The town's MP, Philip Hollobone, also confirmed she wouldn't be attending the switch on.

The Conservative invited her after she sent a string of tweets on referendum night as the results rolled in, pleading for Britain not to vote to leave the EU.

She said: "#REMAIN Sorry, but #KETTERING where are you&why is this woman @BBCNews speaking on people rather than TELLING us what happens if UK LEAVES?"

After Mr Hollobone got in touch, she tweeted again: "Direct message me about your offer. Would be happy to light the Christmas tree in #Kettering."

But today the MP confirmed that she would not be attending, describing it as a "big disappointment".

"But, you never know, she might turn up at the last minute," he said.

"I think most of us thought that she wouldn't actually come but I think there was a little bit of all of us that hoped she would."

A spokesperson for Kettering Borough Council said they had not had a definite answer about whether the star could come.

He said: "They have not requested any detailed information about tonight's event so we have naturally come to the conclusion that she will not be coming."

Former Eastenders actress Cheryl Fergison is scheduled to attend the switch on tonight instead.

Some of her fans weren't too bothered. One wrote on Instagram: "Hey @lindsaylogan I live in Kettering and I'd be too busy for that s**t too. No worries."
