I’m a Celebrity leaves fans gagging as Adam Thomas and Martin Roberts take on the most EYE-POPPINGLY disgusting bushtucker trial yet
Viewers were left wanting to be sick after the pair were told to pop fish-eyes in their MOUTHS - and then drink the liquid that came out
TILLY PEARCE
and were tasked with completing the latest challenge - the aptly named Pick 'N' Critz - but took on more than they bargained in the last stretch of the trial.
After being presented with a gumball machine of FISH-EYES, the pair were instructed to pop them in their mouths, squeeze until they popped and collect the juice in a glass.
If that wasn't vomit-inducing enough, they were then told to finish the challenge by DOWNING the liquid they'd collected in the glass to get the final star.
As they sat in a make-shift sweet shop and were given a number of creepy crawlies to hold in their mouths for 30 seconds in order to bag a star for camp.
The campmates, who have not been close and have even appeared to outright dislike each other, managed to join forces as they faced cockroaches, stick insects and spiders among other disgusting live animals.
After Adam faced his fear and kept a spider in his mouth, Martin responded: “Respect, holy cow, that is the challenge of the day!”
The pair returned victorious after bagging all eleven stars for their camp - making this group of celebrities the most successful camp ever in their bushtucker trials.
But fans at homes were less than impressed with the stomach-churning trial, even if they did complete it, and found the trial was too disgusting for a Sunday night show.
One wrote: "That is the most disgusting challenge I have ever heard- filling up a glass with fluid from fish eyes oh my god no #ImACeleb"
Another agreed and said: "i physically can't watch any eating challenges that involve eyes because i will actually throw up #ImACeleb"
Others compared it to the now iconic Walking Dead scene that saw a lead characters head battered in and their eye popping out, and said: "The last thing that made me physically feel sick on TV was Glenn's eye pop. Now this is making me heave. why the eyes!? #ImACeleb"
Someone else said they would "rather go hungry" than face the disgusting trial.
Most however, just felt sick, and said: "On the verge of vomming up my roast dinner #fisheye #ImACeleb"
Even celebrities back home felt the need to throw their opinions into the mix - including Cheryl, who has been keeping quiet online recently as pregnancy rumours continue to spread.
She wrote: "Watched that through my fingers ! I never screamed and squirmed so much in my life !! Whoever makes these trials up needs help "
