HONEY G has finally been eliminated from The X Factor.
The middle class rapper was axed from the ITV singing competition after finding herself in the bottom two of the public vote and facing off against boyband 5 After Midnight in the sing off.
"She's unique and why not?" Honey's mentor Sharon Osbourne said as she was asked why the rap star should have been saved in place of the boyband.
The rapper's version of California Love failed to impress the judges who preferred 5AM's Labrinth's Beneath Your Beautiful.
"Honey, you've had a great run, and I love you but it's time to send you home," said Louis as he picked Honey to go home.
Honey's mentor Sharon then picked her act and begged Nicole and Simon to keep her in.
Nicole said: "Honey G, you put the fun in phenomenal, I'm literally amazed you lasted this long but you did. I'm sorry the act I'm sending home is Honey G."
Simon then paid tribute to Honey G's guts before choosing Honey G and sealing her fate.
Speaking after her elimination, Honey told Dermot: "I just wanted to say how much I have loved working on X Factor, including he judges. This has been completely life changing experience for me and to everyone who said I couldn't make it - hear I am."
Revealing her plans for the future on the Xtra Factor, Honey started to beg Simon for a record deal.
She told hosts Rylan and Matt: "I'd really, really like to get a record deal with Simon Cowell. I have my heart set on that. I know I can sell records, and I've got the potential to go far as a rap artist."
But when asked whether Honey could get her wish, Simon grinned and said: "We don't make any decisions until after the show."
It comes after the show was plunged into chaos when five men invaded the stage and left Honey shaking shortly after her performance.
The Sun Online revealed that the pranksters were jailed in May after terrifying people with an ill-thought out fake art heist at the National Portrait Gallery.
G, that was tough - from DAN WOOTTON'S Bizarre TV Column
SHE’S been the most original X Factor contestant in years – and the show won’t be the same without HONEY G.
And while she had thousands of haters, Honey had done something no other hopeful has this year: Become a household name.
A source said: “Children go mad for her. They love her. There’s definitely a market for her. But it won’t necessarily be a conventional music career.”
Celebrity response was mixed, with Radio 1 DJ CLARA AMFO writing: “Was waiting for Honey G to rip off her cap, say everything was a satirical protest and shout ‘Black lives matter’ sadly that didn’t happen.” And PIERS MORGAN tweeted: “Beyond diabolical. #HoneyG.”
While, earlier in the evening, EastEnders actress JACQUELINE JOSSA simply posted: “Please no more honey G!!” Presenter MICHAEL UNDERWOOD, too, joked on Twitter: “#EdBalls out of #Strictly and #HoneyG out of #XFactor. It seems 2016’s twisted sense of humour has come to an end. Probably for the best.”
But LOUIS WALSH, who voted her off to save his own act 5 After Midnight, said: “It won’t be the same without Honey.”
And Xtra Factor hosts RYLAN and MATT EDMONDSON offered her a job on the spin-off series.
● HONEY will be interviewed on ITV’s Lorraine from 8.30am today.
