Phillip Schofield is grim-faced as he breaks cover for first time in a month to celebrate his mum’s birthday
PHILLIP Schofield has been spotted grim-faced as he broke cover for the first time in a month.
The ex-This Morning host, 61, was snapped down in Cornwall, where he is understood to be celebrating his mum's birthday.
Schofield was forced to quit the show in late May after his relationship with a runner came to light.
He has barely been seen in public since, keeping a very low profile.
But Schofield has now been seen out and about - dressed in casual clothes suited for the warmer weather.
He is thought to be visiting mum Pat to be at her side when she celebrates her 87th birthday.

The shamed host, who appeared to have had a haircut and built up a tan, donned a blue T-shirt, cream shorts and blue Converse sneakers.
He was seen gripping his car keys, iPhone and vape as he packed up his car.
The last time he was seen in Cornwall was not long after he had been axed from the ITV show.
The 61-year-old was snapped comforting his mum on a bench overlooking the ocean in Newquay.

He later revealed he had just told her he had been dumped from This morning.
Elton John yesterday lashed out as he gave his verdict on Schofield's affair.
The 76-year-old slammed Brits' reaction to the affair - calling it "totally homophobic".
He said that a heterosexual relationship with a similar age gap would not have gained so much negative attention.
Earlier this month the shamed host exclusively opened up to The Sun about the affair.
He described the moment the relationship with the young runner started in a dressing room after a This Morning episode.
The former host revealed he worked with the colleague for a short period and had become friends.
He said: “Then one day something happened that just changed it. That is the moment I look back on, and regret so deeply.
“It was in my dressing room in 2017, it was a consensual moment, it was mutual.
“It was not a love affair, it was not a relationship, we were not boyfriends; we were mates.
“It wasn’t feelings (I was getting), it was more like mates: excitement.
“I was really struggling with my sexuality at that time in the build up to what happened."

Phil was at lengths to point out the chronology of events, and make clear the pair were not in touch romantically or inappropriately after they first communicated when the boy was just 15.
