Katie Price’s mum blasts her ‘utterly toxic’ lovers – and slams ‘controlling’ Peter Andre

KATIE Price's mum Amy has hit out at her daughter's exes and branded them "utterly toxic".

Amy, 71, has shared her true feelings about Katie's former husbands in her new tell-all book, which she has penned in aid of charity.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun about the read, Amy hasn't held back and even branded her daughter's first husband, Peter Andre, as 'controlling'.

She also lays into cage fighter Alex Reid, Katie's third hubby Kieran Hayler and her now-ex fiancé Carl Woods.

Amy tells us: “While thinking and writing about them, patterns began to emerge and I realised that so many of Kate’s husbands had similar character traits. 

"For example, I think it’s fair to say from my point of view that Dane Bowers and Peter Andre were men who liked to be in control and prioritised furthering their own careers.

"In my view, they used their relations with Kate for their own gains and quit while they were ahead."

Amy continues: “Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler were complex exhibitionists who came along when Kate was at her lowest ebb and her most recent suitor is of a similar ilk.

“I always remember Alex referring to himself as Mrs Katie Price and that says it all. Kieran and Carl [Woods, ex-fiancé] are also men who crave fame and have used Kate as a springboard for their social media feeds."

Katie met Peter Andre during their 2004 stint on I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!. They married a year later and their showbiz careers skyrocketed.

But after welcoming two children into the world, Junior and Princess, the couple announced their shock split in 2009.

Their divorce was finalised in October of that year and Katie admitted she was heartbroken.

Four months later, in February 2010, Katie tied the knot with Alex Reid in Las Vegas. But their marriage lasted just 11 months.

The pair became locked in a bitter divorce and it wasn't finalised until 2012 as a result.

Katie went on to marry Kieran Hayler the following year, just two months after meeting him on BlackBerry Messenger.

They had two children during their marriage, Jett and Bunny, and renewed their wedding vows in 2016.

But their relationship was soon rocked by Kieran cheating on her with numerous women and Katie eventually dumped him for good in May 2018.

Devastated Katie then discovered her love rat husband had sex with their nanny all over the house — even romping in their children’s bathroom.

Amy's new book, The Last Word, tells the story of her daughter's rise to fame, life and relationships from the point of view of an 'ordinary working class mum watching from the sidelines'.

She says: "Of course it takes two to tango in every relationship and I’m not for a moment suggesting things are plain sailing with my daughter.

"My book explores this further and tells the story of what it’s been like for an ordinary, working-class mum like me to watch it all play out from the sidelines. And I don’t lie!”

In 2017, Amy was tragically diagnosed with the terminal lung condition idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

As a result, she is donating all proceeds from the sale of The Last Word to Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis, The Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals, plus St Barnabas House Hospice, Worthing.
