Pete Wicks suffers nasty eye injury as he hits the slopes to film Towie Christmas special
The reality star's eye looked very sore after the incident
PETE Wicks suffered a nasty eye injury as he hit the slopes during Towie filming today.
The 28-year-old was seen with a very red outer eye after a skiing session at the Hemel Hempstead snow dome alongside some of his co-stars.
While at first glance it looks like it might be the remains of a black eye – it is fact the result of losing his contact lens after getting snow in his eye.
The tattooed hunk was forced to wash his eyes out following the incident – leaving him with the very sore looking socket.
His rep told us: “He got snow in his eye at the Hemel Hempstead snow dome this morning during filming, and as a result lost his contact lens and had to wash his eye out so it was really red.
“They are totally back to normal now.”
Pete was joined on the ski slopes by male members of the cast – including Tommy Mallett, Dan Edgar and Diags.
The boys could be seen having fun in the snow, trying out a number of fun things including a snow scooter and inflatable donuts they could ride on.
Their appearance comes after Megan McKenna revealed she will be spending Christmas Day with Pete.
The Towie couple have put their troubles aside and are getting ready to celebrate the festive season together.
Speaking in this week’s , Megan revealed: “Yeah. Pete’s coming to ours for Christmas Day this year.”
Pete also confirmed things were back on track during their appearance on This Morning when Holly asked how they were doing.
He immediately replied: “We are all good, looking forward to Christmas together.”
