Netflix releases its Christmas schedule… and there’s plenty of festive films and TV shows to sink your teeth into

DECEMBER is finally here and that means one thing - Christmas TV schedules.

While it was revealed earlier this week that the BBC's Christmas line up will rely heavily on repeats, streaming service Netflix has unveiled its own list of festive films and TV shows, featuring some absolute classics.

For the men there's the likes of Die Hard, which sees Bruce Willis scramble around a tower block fighting terrorists in an increasingly dirty white vest, while children of the 80s and 90s can enjoy Home Alone and Jingle All the Way.

More recent hits include Arthur Christmas and A Very Murray Christmas.

Meanwhile TV shows worth a re-watch include The Outnumbered Christmas Specials from 2009 and 2011 as well as The Royle Family: Christmas Special 2000 and The New Sofa special in 2008.

So grab a mince pie, a slice of yule log or a whole tub of Celebrations and sit back and delve into a festive buffet of entertainment.
