Lauren Goodger’s ex-boyfriend denies ‘assaulting Towie star the day after baby daughter’s funeral’
LAUREN Goodger’s ex-boyfriend today denied attacking the Towie star after their baby daughter's funeral.
Charles Drury, 25, is accused of assaulting Lauren, 36, on August 4 - the day after tragic Lorena was laid to rest.
He also allegedly coercively controlled the reality star over two years from 2020 to 2022.
Drury appeared Snaresbrook Crown Court where he pleaded not guilty to ABH and engaging in controlling/coercive behaviour.
The builder, who wore a white shirt and blue tie, was granted unconditional bail.
A provisional trial date was set for March 18 next year.
Drury is accused of coercive and controlling behaviour between August 1, 2020, and August 5, 2022.
The indictment alleges he "engaged in behaviour that was controlling or coercive which had a serious effect" on her.
It also says he "caused Lauren Goodger to fear, on at least two occasions, that violence will be used against" her, "at a time when he knew or ought to have known that the behaviour" would have a "serious effect" on her.
He is accused of assaulting Lauren, causing actual bodily harm on August 4, 2022.

Lauren said: "I'd like to be in a happy, loving relationship - I deserve that. I want another baby, I do I want to be in love, I want to be happy again.
"I'm missing that. I'm really missing a man in my life - I've always had a boyfriend - and because my family relationship is really up and down."
