Former Dancing on Ice contestant Danniella Westbrook gets her skates back on to show off her moves at a rink in Liverpool six years after her stint on the show

DANNIELLA Westbrook whooped with delight as she took to the ice with a pal.

The former EastEnders actress, 43, looked like she had remembered all her Dancing On Ice training from her stint on the ITV show back in 2010 as she glided across a rink at the Liverpool Ice Festival.

Danniella excelled in the Sunday night ice skating competition, reaching the semi-finals.

The series was eventually won by another soap star, Coronation Street's Hayley Tamaddon.

Last night mum-of-two Danniella was joined on the ice by her blogger pal Ryan Mira, who delighted in gliding along with her.

He was seen grinning with glee as he shadowed her, holding her arms up by her sides as if they were about to perform a tricky lift.

Danniella, wearing black leggings and a snug black coat, looked happy and relaxed as she enjoyed her wintery activity.

Seeing her look so happy is sure to be a relief for her legion of loyal and supportive fans, who have seen her go through a series of tough challenges over the past year.

They've also seen her undergo a 'designer vagina' procedure, after she laid back on the operating table and Snapchatted her way through an intimate 'tightening and rejuvenation' treatment.

But ironically it was also surgery that triggered what must be one of the toughest twelve months of her life.

Before heading in to the Celebrity Big Brother house in January, Danniella had her teeth removed and replaced with dental implants on Channel 5's Celebrity Botched Up Bodies.

She was warned that there might be complications if she didn't stop smoking, but viewers saw her puff away continuously when in the CBB house.

Later her implants became infected and she almost died from septicaemia.

The implants ended up rotting out part of her gums which in turn led to the inside of her nose - already fragile after years of cocaine abuse - to start to decay.

She is now forced to wear a small surgical dressing to protect the painful and unsightly wound.

Danniella also faced struggles in her personal life, becoming the victim of a terrifying troll stalker, and breaking up with her toyboy lover George Arnold.
