The pop group had just reunited and were planning a tour when he tragically passed.

Now they’ve paid homage to the beloved singer in their new music video released today, their first single in 20 years.

The remaining band-members, minus Hannah Spearitt who quit after Paul’s death, huddle around a memory book and flick through its pages in the heartwarming promo, as they take a look back on their younger years.

Old footage of Paul rollicking with his S Club 7 co-stars, filming music vidos on location and performing on stage, as well as behind-the-scenes glimpses of their rehearsals and many red carpet appearances together play out over the top of the poignant lyrics.

Fans have been completley blown away by the nostalgic tribute, and one commented beneath the video on YouTube: “I’m crying.

“This song, this video … it all has been done with so much love and care. It sounds amazingly fresh while being unmistakably S Club. What a heart-warming tribute. It’s good to have you back, S Club!!!”

Another said: “Crying. This is beautiful. We’re all so incredibly proud and know Paul is watching and smiling. Let’s go with this new era S Club.”

One more penned: “What a gift to Paul, to each other, to the fans, go the world… way to go S Club! This was such a special tribute and treat.”

The band told The Sun this week of the shocking impact of the news of Paul’s sudden death.

Jo said: “Our management called. Me and Jon were the first to hear. It was about half past nine on the Thursday night.

“I think I just went completely silent at first. It was awful.”

Jon added: “It was like someone had punched me in the stomach.”

Tina also said: “I was at home with my son, we were just watching TV and I picked up the call.

“At first I was just like, ‘This isn’t real … it can’t be real. You’ve made a mistake’. I still can’t believe it’s real.”

S Club 7 they were one of the biggest groups of the late Nineties and early Noughties with four UK No1 singles including Never Had A Dream Come True and Don’t Stop Movin’.

Rachel said of their new song: “It’s brought us even closer.”

Jo continued: “(Paul) was so excited about this reunion and so I think we’re all trying to make this as special as we possibly can.

“We all reflect on him with a smile on our face. The smiles have replaced the tears, in a really positive way.

“We just remember him for the goofy Paul that he always was.

“We’re always referencing him and he’s always part of everything that we’re doing, especially with the single, the video and the tour.

“He will always be around in some way, shape or form.”

And Bradley explained: “His presence is so strong. It doesn’t feel like he’s gone. It feels like he’s still here. We miss him dearly, though.”
