Controversial comedian Dapper Laughs welcomes baby girl as he becomes dad for the first time
The star initially planned to SNAPCHAT the birth before backing out during the labour
CONTROVERSIAL comedian Dapper Laughs has become a father for the first time.
Dapper, real name Daniel O'Reilly, announced the arrival of his daughter with a statement released on Instagram.
The 31-year-old comedian and girlfriend Shelley Rae have named the tot Neve O'Reilly.
Originally, Dapper had announced that he was planning to Snapchat the birth to his followers, but in the statement he said that the event became "too emotional and private" for him to share.
He has also revealed that he has no intention of sharing pictures of his new arrival online - for fear of repercussions after he became notorious for his "lad culture" character on Snapchat.
The statement read: "It's a girl! I'm a Dad & she's beautiful [heart] I planning on Snapping the night but I wanted to go though every contraction together & it was all too emotional and private. What Shelley went through is beyond words, you're all amazing."

Dapper's girlfriend was initially all for the birth being played out to the nation, and told the : "This is kind of introducing me as a person, on a more personal level.
"It'll be nice for people to know who I am instead of just little clips. This is the real us."
On his new little girl, he added: "Trust me, she is stunning, she's been blessed with my nose [laughing] I'm a tad upset thinking of my father but I know he'll look over her. Today's a good day, I joined the Dad club!"
Geordie Shore lothario Gaz Beadle congratulated the new dad on Twitter and wrote: "Massive congratulations to my good mate @dapperlaughs on the birth of your daughter you will be an amazing dad."
The comedian then teased him and replied: "Thank you Gaz! Your turn next! I hear 'Dad' is the new 'lad'."
