Game of Thrones spoilers: Theon Greyjoy actor Alfie Allen teases ‘dark’ new storylines from ‘dragons to torture’
The actor let slip what fans can expect from the new series of the HBO series - and it already promises to be a huge hit
GAME Of Thrones actor Alfie Allen has teased some dark new storylines fans can expect in the new series of the hit show.
The star, who plays Theon Greyjoy, opened up on the dramatic scenes taking place behind closed doors - and promised there will be shocks in store.
According to fan website , Alfie opened up on the seventh series at Malta India Fan Convention, and said it promises “more of the same but better."
He added: “There will be more dragons… lot’s more torture!”
Viewers watched on as Theon transformed from evil dictator to a tortured prisoner in recent episodes, before finally escaping with Sansa Stark and journeying back to find his family in the Iron Islands.
He eventually joined Daenerys Targaryen, which no doubt sparked the dragons teaser.
Speaking about his character's mental state, Alfie reportedly added that Theon is “skittish and full of fear…Basically, and then that can kind of, I guess, evolve into rage, which you might see…who knows?”
However, he refused to give too much away, and when asked about a potential reunion between the Starks, he added: “You mean IF that happens. You gotta stop looking at the internet, guys!”
He went on: “I would say, [Theon] would feel horrible. He’d feel awful. And he’d see it as a chance to redeem himself.”
It comes after new images were revealed online from the next season, giving a first glimpse at dramatic scenes.
A teaser trailer for the next series aired in an ad break for Westworld, alongside clips of more shows due to air next year, and fans were quick to screenshot the main three moments.
