The X Factor’s Matt Terry messes up the lyrics to Band Aid’s Do They Know It’s Christmas during group song
Singer is hoping to make it to the final of the ITV show next week
MATT Terry was certainly feeling the pressure during the X Factor live semi-final results show when he messed up his lyrics during the group performance.
The four semi-finalists were singing the festive classic, Band Aid's Do They Know It's Christmas when the wannabe made the blunder.
Opening the track, Matt sang the first two lines the wrong way around, so instead of: "It's Christmastime; there's no need to be afraid/At Christmastime, we let in light and we banish shade" he sang: "It's Christmatime, we let in light and we banish shade/At Christmastime, there's no need to be afraid".
Eagle-eyed and eared viewers were quick to notice the slip up, taking to Twitter to question if the show's producers had changed it on purpose or if it was Matt's mistake.
One wrote: "Did they re-write the lyrics or did Matt sing it arseways?" while another added: "Rewritten lyric or did Matt totally F that up? #XFactor".

The star is in the final four alongside Emily Middlemas, 5 After Midnight and Saara Aalto, with only three making it through to the live X Factor final extravaganza at Wembley Arena next weekend.
And with the stakes at their highest, Matt may have been starting to feel the pressure.
Another Twitter user added: "What's up with Matt? He's forgetting lyrics. He seems so stressed.#XFactor".
Others couldn't believe he had messed up such an iconic Christmas record, having been recorded by famous faces three times in total since the original in 1984.
One wrote: "Is Matt just getting all the words wrong here?! Who doesn't know the words to Band Aid?!"
A fellow viewer agreed, writing: "Matt how in the name of f**k did you get those lyrics wrong? Actually what t***tery is this?"
