Jeremy McConnell claims Stephanie Davis ‘was sleeping with other people’ at the end of their relationship – and THAT’S why he wants a paternity test
The model has refused to stand by Steph during the pregnancy but says he’ll ‘step up to the plate’ if the baby is his
JEREMY McConnell has revealed the reason he won’t acknowledge being the father of Stephanie Davis’s baby is because she was sleeping with other people in the weeks leading up to getting pregnant.
The Irish model has cut contact with Steph who he met in January’s Celebrity Big Brother but insists he’ll be “the best dad” if a paternity test reveals that the baby is his.
“I was in a position where we broke up for a period of time. I found out she was pregnant, but in the meantime I knew she was with other people,” he told The Daily Star.
“I can't do anything while the baby's in there. When it comes out I would step up to the plate.
“All I want is clarification. If I find out it's mine I'll be the best dad.”
He also lashed out at people who are “having a go” at him for not being there for Steph during her pregnancy.

“This is why I don't understand people having a go at me. They think I won't be there for the baby, which is not the case.”
Last week Stephanie said that Jeremy “never loved” her and that he won’t be allowed to be present at the birth.
Speaking to OK!, she said: “He doesn’t deserve to be there. I don’t think he wants to be there either.”
When asked if she was sad he wouldn’t be in the labour ward, Steph said: “No, I’m not really bothered about him anymore. I don’t think he ever loved me, because you don’t lie to or abandon someone you love."
She continued: “A baby doesn’t fix a toxic relationship, but if he hadn’t lied and cheated, it wouldn’t have been toxic. He also shouldn’t have decided he wanted a child.”
Steph added that her son will have her surname, Davis.
