Zara Holland shrugs off ‘boring’ Love Island sex romp that killed her Miss Great Britain career

LOVE Island’s Zara Holland has revealed she’s had enough of people talking about her night of passion with Alex Bowen.

After having sex with Alex on the show, Zara was stripped of her Miss Great Britain title but she insists she’s over it.

The 21-year-old has faced a massive backlash from the public and was criticised by the Miss Great Britain Organisation after her steamy romp.

Now she admits she’s just trying to move on with her life and forget that night once and for all.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, Zara said: “[I’m] really bored of talking about it when someone asks about Love Island.

“It’s like the whole thing that happened with Alex, everyday somebody wants to know and it’s like oh my god please move on.

“I’m now with somebody, Love Island was ages ago and there are so many exciting things happening!

“I just think people need to move on and talk about the now, not with the past.”

Zara also addressed some of the criticism she’s faced since leaving Love Island and admits it’s not been easy to handle.

She explained: “It does bother me, it really does. I think you get your good days and your bad days.

“I always say though, just block them, delete the nasty comments and concentrate on the positive ones because when you actually look, you’ve got so many nice, positive comments from fans and I think that's what you’ve actually got to look at.

“Don’t get me wrong, you get your bad days and it really winds me up because I think, ‘these people don’t know me. How do they have the time to hate?’”

Zara has since found love with a new man who she admits isn’t interested in being in the spotlight.

She said: “He’s so amazing – he isn’t in the industry and he doesn’t want to be.

“When I’m [going to a party] he says: ‘You look beautiful, have a fantastic time’ but he’s just not really bothered.

“I just think when you’re in the public eye if you want to keep it private and especially with a new relationship I think you’ve got to! He means a lot to me.”
