I’m A Celebrity winner Scarlett Moffatt reveals what she’ll spend £1m windfall on in first interview since leaving the jungle
Polite, genuine and razor-sharp Gogglebox star beat comedian Joel Dommett to the jungle throne and has undergone a major transformation since the summer
JUNGLE queen Scarlett Moffatt will spend her expected £1million windfall on a caravan for her parents — and a boob job.
The popular Gogglebox star, 26, revealed her plans in her only interview since winning I’m A Celebrity.
She said: “Now that I’ve lost weight, and my t*tties are cleaning my shoes, I would like them lifted to where they are meant to be.”
Scarlett, who beat comedian Joel Dommett, 30, and Emmerdale actor Adam Thomas, 28, to the jungle throne, has undergone a major transformation since the summer.
She went from a size 16 to a size eight after doctors warned her she was at risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, but it has left her self-conscious about her body.
Scarlett said: “When I was bigger I had J-cup boobs and I would get a really bad backache. I was advised by the doctors actually that I should probably get them reduced.
“It isn’t that it bothers me particularly, but I would just love to be able to not have to wear a maternity bra, and have one that normal people wear. And that is one thing I’m going to look into next year.”
Scarlett, from Bishop Auckland, County Durham, will pocket around £1million in endorsements and TV deals after winning the ITV series.
And she says she cannot wait to treat her Gogglebox co-stars, parents Mark, 50, and Betty, 46.
The down-to-earth star was driven back from the jungle in a stretch limo and stopped off for a chicken kebab on the way to the five-star Palazzo Versace hotel.
She said: “It would just be nice to buy my dad a caravan. I don’t think I’ve ever felt as happy or content as I have now, so a million pounds isn’t going to make any difference.
“I’m really sensible with my money. So I would like to own my own house rather than rent.
“That’s really boring isn’t it? What else can I buy? Loads of chicken kebabs!”
The reality star was a huge hit with the public thanks to her witty one-liners and honesty.
The highlight of her three weeks in the jungle was eating camel nipples, cow anus and turkey testicles in a Bushtucker Trial with former Countdown star Carol Vorderman, 55.
MY CELEB CRUSHES
SCARLETT has admitted an unlikely crush — on The X Factor supremo Simon Cowell.
She said she had the hots for the 57-year-old because of his questionable dress sense and the power he holds.
She said: “He’s bringing camel toes back to men.
“I didn’t even know that was a thing until Simon Cowell did it. I just love how cool he is.
“He’s just like Ant and Dec, he always wears black. I like that, it’s mysterious. And I like that if he said, ‘You look nice’, he genuinely would mean it.
“He doesn’t mess about, does he? If he said, ‘You look lovely tonight Scarlett’, you’d be like, ‘Yeah I must do’. It’s a power thing.”
Also on Scarlett’s celebrity crush list is former Prime Minister David Cameron, 50, who she says is “a little bit fit”, and 43-year-old ginger comic Leigh Francis.
But she was also reduced to tears early on after a “bullying” row between broadcaster Danny Baker, 59, and Homes Under the Hammer host Martin Roberts, 53.
Danny and Scarlett were both accused of bullying Martin, an allegation that she says “breaks my heart” due to her own bad experience at school.
She said: “I find that bizarre. I was bullied. Me and Martin had a lot of conversations about our past.
“We had very similar school experiences, which is how I sort of ended up bonding with him.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God you’re exactly like me’. I’ve never been called a bully in my life. That honestly breaks my heart because I’ve been through it.
“I would never ever, ever want anyone to feel half of what I’ve been through.
“The feeling of isolation and being an outsider is awful. I wouldn’t wish that on anyone, let alone make anyone feel that way.”
Scarlett is now set to walk away from Channel 4’s Gogglebox as a string of new TV opportunities come her way.
Just minutes after winning I’m A Celebrity on Sunday evening, Scarlett got a glimpse of what her new showbiz life will be like.
She arrived for our interview with her hair still wet from her first post-jungle shower.
We then tried to chat over the noise of a hairdryer as she had her hair and make-up done ahead of a photoshoot at the posh hotel on Australia’s Gold Coast.
But despite her whirlwind schedule, she was polite, genuine and as razor-sharp with her gags as she was in the jungle.
It is that mix which has led some viewers to suggest she should have her own chat show.
However Scarlett said she would love to team up with her new best pals and long-time heroes Ant and Dec instead, but is modest enough to know it will not be easy.
She said: “I think I might be pushing it there aren’t I? I might start a bit lower.
“A chat show would be amazing, but I feel like I’d need to learn a lot more before I start doing something like that.
“Alan Carr, Jonathan Ross, people like that, they work hard. I’ve got a lot of learning to do before I do anything like that.
“I don’t want to just go in because I’ve been given the opportunity, I feel like I want to go in and know that ‘Right Scarlett, you’ve got this’, rather than just be winging it.”
Comparisons have been made between Scarlett and last year’s winner Vicky Pattison, 28, who presented a spin-off show during this year’s series.
MY CELEB CROCKS
THE Queen of the Jungle has also already developed some celeb enemies.
She took aim at a number of famous faces in her book Scarlett Says, including Strictly host Tess Daly, 47, telly chef Jamie Oliver, 41, and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, 67.
She said Tess “ruins” the BBC1 show and she “sucks the excitement out of everything”.
But she insists her barbs were not malicious. She said: “All I meant is I prefer Claudia.”
She also said in the book that she “really disliked” Jamie for banning unhealthy food in schools.
But she has now made peace with the chef.
She said: “I met him and said I hated the fact he took turkey twizzlers and pink custard away.
“Then he explained the healthy benefits to me and I’m on his side now.”
Of Labour leader Mr Corbyn, she said: “I’m not having a dig at his policies or ’owt, I just think he looks like he could be the next Dr Who.”
She made a string of jokes throughout about how she did not want to be upstaged by the new champion.
Viewers also noted the speed in which Geordie Shore star Vicky appeared to slam the wicker crown on to Scarlett’s head — later blamed on “time constraints”.
Despite insisting she was “really, really lovely”, Scarlett was quick to distance herself from party-going Vicky, as she prefers a quiet night in with boyfriend Luke Crodden.
She said: “Me and Vicky are only similar in that we’ve got a similar accent.
“But I feel like we’re quite different people. Just because we’re from the same place doesn’t mean we’re the same.
“I don’t go out. There’s a misconception that all people from the North East just go out.
“But I literally would rather order a takeaway and watch the telly, get Luke round, sit with my family and have a cup of tea.
NO-SHOWER FOR SHOWERS
SCARLETT went in the jungle shower only four times in three weeks — and kept herself covered up when she did.
She said: “I don’t really like the idea of the shower scene.
“There’s nothing wrong with it and I know you’ve got to stay hygienic.
"But it just isn’t really me. I did have a few dips in the creek too.”
“Me and Luke go on ghost walks sometimes. On a Saturday night we’ll go ghost walking and we’ll see people on nights out. I’m like, ‘Why are we doing this?’ That’s what we like though.”
Scarlett started dating hairdresser Luke only in February, yet her mum Betty says he is ready to propose.
She also says she can imagine them having children in the near future — although Scarlett insists they are in no hurry.
She said: “I cannot wait to see Luke. He’s just my best friend. I’ve never met anyone who makes me laugh as much, he’s genuine.
“I’ve never really looked into the future when I’ve been with past boyfriends, but with him I can imagine having a family.
“But not for a very long time! I’ve just turned 26, I’ve got a few years left but it’ll definitely be with Luke.”
