Finn, who met Kasim when he pulled him out of the car wreckage and then stayed with him for weeks in hospital as he lay in a coma, thought he would never see him again, but low and behold he arrived in the village looking for the man who saved him.

"I am so invested in this Kasim and Finn storyline on Emmerdale," wrote one fan as they all swarmed social media in celebration of the new couple.

"Someone please tell me there's a happy ever after for Finn and Kasim?! Finn deserves it so much!" said another.

A third added: "Kasim and Finn both stalk each other, seems like the perfect match. #emmerdale"

Car crash survivor Kasim Sabet has arrived in the village on the lookout for the man who saved him and as soon as he found him - love was in the air as Kasim went into overdrive flirting.

Earlier in the episode, Kasim arrived in the village looking for the man who saved him, but didn't know who he was or what he looked like.

Finn, meanwhile, was busy feeling depressed over his family, the death of his father and being stopped from seeing Kasim by his brother, and without realising it Tracy ended up helping Kasim find Finn without realising she was looking for Fin..

But when they finally came face to face, it was Kasim worried he would look like a stalker as a custard-covered Finn made the world's worst attempt to hide all of two feet away from the man he saved.

"I didn't know if I'd ever see you again," he told Kasim.

"So I bet I'm pretty much the last person you were expecting to see again," said Kasim as he explained he found Finn with the help of a local newspaper article and a lot of luck.

Kasim insisted on buying Finn a proper drink, before the pair headed over to the B&B and Kasim dropped some subtle hints that he was gay and single like telling Finn he was gay and single.

The flirty pair bonded over their love of music and their terrible families, and their embarrassing life stories and it looks hopeful for the pair, though Finn's behaviour in the hospital must cause a few problems.

Joe Gill, who plays the troubled Finn, revealed: "Nobody is really there for Finn [after his dad's death]. The person who used to be there for him the most was his dad.

"So I think the connection that Finn feels with Kasim is very strong. When Kasim was in a coma, he unloaded all of his thoughts onto him.

"Even though Kasim might not have been able to hear him, Finn feels a bond towards him and thinks he's the only person he can confide in."

However, Finn is yet to reveal to his new beau that he even visited him in the hospital for fear of scaring Kasim away.

This makes it awkward when Kasim discovers that Finn had come to see him while he was in a coma.

Joe added: "Through the three years I've been here at Emmerdale, Finn has never been lucky in love.

So when the producer Iain MacLeod told me this was what he was planning, I was hoping it would at least go right for a few months!"

The star also joked that Ethan Kai, who plays Kasim, has had an easy ride as the new boy after playing a coma patient for the past months.
