A UK-BASED auction house is selling extremely rare footage of Beyonce to the highest bidder - and looks set to nab upto £2.9million.

The archive is said to be so rare that it was considered lost forever - after being shot around 1992 when Bey was still finding her feet as a performer.

Offers are now being accepted by the auction house in a closed bidding war, and they are expecting by the end of bidding in January that the collection could go from anywhere between £1.5million and £3million.

A preview video uploaded to tease the material available to the highest bidder claims the videos are "a candid view of Beyonce as she develops her craft that would ultimately make her the most famous pop star in the world."

In the montage of clips, Beyonce can be seen performing with her three friends, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and Le Toya Luckett.

The four would grow up and go on to find fame as 90s smash-hit girl group, Destiny's Child.

Bidding for the material closes on January 10.
