BURYING THE HATCHET

I’m a Celebrity’s Martin Roberts reveals his feud with Larry Lamb is over as they share a tearful hug away from the cameras

The men made amends off camera following THAT awkward hug on last night's Coming Out show

MARTIN Roberts has received a tearful apology from his I'm a Celebrity campmate Larry Lamb.

The men found themselves at loggerheads throughout their time together on the ITV reality show, with some claiming the EastEnders actor was bullying the Homes Under the Hammer presenter.

During last night's Coming Out show, the pair were seen engaging in an awkward hug as Martin arrived back at the Versace Hotel in Australia after he was voted off the programme.

But on Thursday's This Morning, Martin told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that the men shared a more genuine, heartfelt moment off camera on their last day Down Under.

He said: "We did bury the hatchet.

"Larry definitely didn’t treat me as it would be fair to be treated, I think some of it was over the top.

"For whatever reason, there were times when it was really difficult.

"The first day out I was really angry but my overall experience was so brilliant, and so lovely.
"By the time it was our final morning, I was having breakfast with Kirsty and the kids and Larry walked in and I thought 'I need to do something here.'

"I went over and gave him a real hug, I didn't let go and he just broke down in tears and he said 'I am so so sorry for the way I acted towards you and I am so sorry for what I said'."

Holly said, “And do you accept that apology?”

Martin replied, “Of course, of course. I think Larry said if we’d met at a party or some social event we’d probably get on fine, but you’re thrown into that environment...”

Martin - who was joined by his wife and two children towards the end of the interview - also butted heads with fellow late arrival, Danny Baker during his time in the jungle, with one of their exchanges leaving him in tears.

He said: "That wasn’t a particularly good night to be honest… there are all these cameras there but very quickly you forget.

"You’re in such an intense experience. And that night, I was on my own, Danny had has a real go at me - I’d felt like I’d gone from hero to zero - I’d won the stars and then he had a go at me about not carrying water because Adam had been a little lazy, whatever, and I suddenly felt like the whole camp was against me.”
