James Arthur teases fans with talk of releasing ANOTHER album within a year
In an exclusive gig for Bizarre readers, the Say You Won't Let Go hit-maker revealed he wants to use spare Back From The Edge tracks in an imminent follow-up LP
WITH his latest album Back From The Edge brimming with 17 songs, you'd think JAMES ARTHUR has given plenty for fans to be getting along with.
But instead of kicking back and basking in all his comeback glory, the Say You Won't Let Go hit-maker has revealed that he wants to put out another within a year.
In an exclusive Sun Gig for readers, James said all he wants to do is make music and that he might use all the spare material used in recording the October LP to release a follow-up.
He said: "It's really tough to think that far ahead at the moment.
"I would just love to put out another album because I've got so much shit left over from the last album, so much stuff like I could put out another two albums.
"More music. I'd love to win more awards for validation."
It would be sure to have a back-story just as emotional as some of the tracks in Back From The Edge, which he gave Bizarre readers an insight into before launching into some of its hits.
He said:"The most emotional songs on the album to write were probably not the one's you'd expect.
"There’s a song on the latter part called If Only, that was one when I was pretty depressed. Finally was one I wrote and I was pretty depressed. Even picking up the guitar would make me feel sick, trigger off all that weird anxiety. The Truth was a tough one to write, and Trainwreck."
Adding some levity, James also described performing dressed up as "Big Willie" the busker at Waterloo station in November.
He laughingly recounted: "It was absolutely brutal doing the makeup. Two three hours in a chair. I don’t envy anyone gets that level of treatment. [Will I go into acting?] ... maybe not prosthetic acting. It was good good fun!"
It certainly was.
