Reading and Leeds Festival announce huge pop star as ‘secret set’ after US superstar drops out last minute
ASHNIKKO has announced a secret set today at Reading Festival.
The Daisy singer and rapper, 27, confirmed her gig at the annual music extravaganza after the release of her new album Weedkiller.
It comes after headline performer Trippie Redd dropped out at the last minute.
Ashnikko told BBC Radio 1: "Not so secret anymore! I'm so excited.
"I'm excited to be here, my album just came out so it's a lot of energy today and it's the perfect way to celebrate."
Asked what fans can expect from her performance, the blue-haired star said: "Just me thrashing around like an eel and crawling around like a goblin.

"That’s kind of what I do every song and I try not to throw my back out.
"I am constantly hurting myself, I’m actually healing a knee injury right now. (From) thrashing around on stage."
She also let slip her stage time and replied: "Four" before presenter Katie Thistleton said: "Oh, we tried to catch you out!"
It comes as US rapper Trippie was due to take to the iconic stage over the Bank Holiday weekend but cancelled his appearance.
A statement on his Twitter account said: "I’m so sorry to announce that I can’t perform this weekend. I was really looking forward to coming to Reading & Leeds…
"But due to illness I have to cancel my visit to the UK. I hope to see you soon!"
Reading and Leeds also tweeted: "Unfortunately we have to announce that Trippie Redd is having to cancel his performances at both Reading and Leeds due to illness.
"We wish @trippieredd a speedy recovery."
He is known for his singles Dark Knight Dummo, Taking a Walk, and Topanga and has 9 billion streams on Spotify.
Foals and The Killers are also due to headline, with The 1975 announced earlier this year as Lewis Capaldi's replacement.
