STRANGER Things stars Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Finn Wolfhard are back on their trademark bikes and ready to solve more sci fi mysteries ad they film the hit Netflix series.

The trio, who play Dustin, Lucas and Mike, were spotted pedalling away along a darkly-lit street in Atlanta.

14-year-old Gaten (Dustin) and 15-year-old Caleb (Lucas) were also snapped filming scenes together by a brick wall.

The second series is set to air on Netflix sometime in 2017.

It is believed to pick up in 1984, one year after the first series was set, and delve into the “bigger mythology” behind young character Will Byers’ disappearance.

Missing from the scenes was 12-year-old Noah Schnapp, who plays their pal Will in the series.

The first season centred around the disappearance of Will, who is brought into another world by the Demogorgon.

This was when they found and hit Eleven (Millie Bobbie Brown) - a psychokinetic girl who who escaped the clutches of "the bad men".

And actress Millie, 12, is reportedly set to return for the second season of Stranger Things.

An inside source on the show “confirmed” the 12-year-old British star’s return to TVLine.

Thereports: “It’s not clear how many of Season 2’s nine episodes Brown will appear in, but all signs point to her once again being a series regular.”

Following the phenomenal success of the first series of the science-fiction horror, Millie’s future on the show led to emergency meetings with bosses after becoming a fan favourite.

Executive producers Matt and Ross Duffer previously said Eleven’s return remained “up in the air.”

There is a teaser for the second series, but it sadly doesn’t reveal a great deal.

New characters will be introduced into the latest season, as producer Shawn Levy told SlashFilm:  "The plan is to continue with this set of characters while introducing a few critical key new ones next season.

"So I'll just say that a lot of the big mysteries get answered at the end of season one, but we are very much kind of unearthing new problems and questions that merit future stories and future investigation in the most enjoyable way.

"So we are in love with our cast and our characters."
