Johnny Depp dresses up as Captain Jack Sparrow to bring some festive cheer to sick kids at Great Ormond Street Hospital

JOHNNY Depp brought some festive cheer to some sick children after dressing up as Captain Jack.
The Hollywood superstar surprised patients at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London when he turned up in his full Pirates of Caribbean costume.
The hospital holds a very special place in his heart after his daughter Lily-Rose was treated for renal failure there in 2007.
So yesterday he gave poorly kids an early Christmas present, but donning his famous costume and becoming Captain Jack for the day.
One onlooker who saw the 53-year-old star posted a snap on Instagram, and wrote: “This is actual Johnny Depp. Just came in to the hospital. I'm so confused.”
Another person added a snap saying: “Yes folks that is indeed Johnny Depp with my lovely niece! One of the few upsides of being stuck in Great Ormond St for Xmas is you get some pretty awesome visitors.”
Johnny has spoken in the past about his appreciation for the hospital, and the treatment Lily-Rose received.

Speaking on The Graham Norton Show last December he said: “For me it’s a gift. They give me the gift.”
He added: “When my daughter was ill in Great Ormond Street, it was the darkest period of my life. I’d always done these visits but after that experience the visits became more and more important.
“The kids are so courageous but to be able to bring a smile or a giggle to the parents means everything in the world to me.”
Johnny shares Lily-Rose, a 17-year-old model and 14-year-old son, Jack, with his ex-love Vanessa Paradis.
The actor will reprise his role at Captain Jack in Pirates Of The Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, due out May 26.
