Honey G makes energetic return to X Factor stage and thrills fans with sneak preview of new single
The rapper has signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco
THE X Factor turned into the Honey G Show tonight as the rapper made a energetic return to the stage to plug her debut single.
She gave fans a sneak preview as she mixed it in with a medley of all the songs she performed throughout the series, much to the audience's delight.
The 35-year-old from north London, who, it was revealed today, has been signed to Simon Cowell's record label Syco, bounced onto the stage in her trademark tracksuit and big black sunglasses.
But her shades had been customised with LED lights that flashed 'HONEY G' across them as she danced around the stage having the time of her life.
And she even got host Dermot O'Leary and the four judges in on the act as they also donned pairs of the shades as they bopped along.
Honey's medley included Will Smith's Men In Black and Kris Kross's Jump, two songs she had performed during this series - and which got her through until she was voted off in the eighth week.
And she had the audience and judges on their feet as she was joined by backing dancers for the dazzling, high-energy routine.
After her performance, she chatted to Dermot, who said: "North Wheezy just shut it down in Wembley, Honey! How did that feel?”
She replied: “It felt wicked. Just want to plug my single that’s coming out on the 23rd of December, called The Honey G Show.
“Everyone who’s locked in, we’re gonna rip it up, tear it up, this is the Honey G official takeover. That was a sneak preview of my upcoming single in my medley. Everyone's got to go out and buy it and support the single.
“Honey G’s taking over, it’s Honey G time!”

And some of her fans on Twitter backed it to be this year's Christmas number one.
One wrote, "I'm definitely buying @The_Honey_G new single, she's shutting it down #xmasno1," while another added: "Honey G for Christmas number 1!"
And Big Brother's Hughie Maughan wrote: "Please can Honey G be Christmas number one... she should be the winner... everyone download."
Honey was also the only non-finalist from this series to make a solo performance at the Wembley Arena live show.
As tonight's show opened, she joined the X Factor class of 2016 as she and contestants including Emily Middlemas, Sam Lavery, Ryan Lawrie, Freddy Parker and Bratavio, sang Little Mix's Shout Out To My Ex.
