Kylie Minogue shows X Factor finalists Matt Terry and Saara Aalto how it’s done as she kicks off final with stunning performance of Everybody’s Free
The Aussie pop princess wowed the audience with her brilliant performance to open the show and the greatness only continued
KYLIE Minogue is the queen of all pop and things X Factor now.
The Australian pop queen opened the show with a stunning version of Everybody's Free where she started on a giant bow suspended above the audience before being lowered onto the stage to end the song with finalists Matt and Saara.
And it's safe to say viewers were thrilled with her performance on the show.
"Who cares who's gonna win GO KYLIE YAY! #xfactor" wrote one fan while others continued the gushing.
"Kylie has to win," added another while a third said: "I'd sooner perform with Kylie than actually win the record contract, tbqh."
With the Aussie superstar setting the bar high for the evening ahead, the finalists more than lived up to it.
Matt Terry's version of Sam Smith's Writing's On the Wall was well-received while the judges gushed over Saara Aalto's Bjork cover.
Matt's performance was apparently so powerful that Nicole couldn't control her emotions and began weeping in pride.
The former Pussycat Doll and current show judge was overcome with emotion as she praised her act Matt after his performance of Sam Smith's Oscar-winning song Writing's on the Wall.
Tearing up, she gushed to Matt: "Hey baby, you what am I going to do with you? I just want to thank you. I just want to take a second right now Matt, to thank you because you when I watched you up there right now I realise you are the reason why I was meant to come back to X Factor and you, there are no words for what you have and for what you do.
"I can't critique you, I can't say anything, what you have you're born with it and just thank you for sharing that gift and thank you for being so transparent and exposing everything your full heart to us tonight.
"You deserve, I never say this word, you deserve to be up there right now."
In response Matt began sobbing in emotion and thanked his fans for voting for him and the team behind him helping him to win.
"I feel like I've found who I am, I've found where I belond and there's one place I feel myself and that's right here," he added.
Nicole's tearful and wobbly comments showed how much she cares for her act.
A source close to Nicole exclusively told The Sun Online: "She is emotional as it's the final show but that's all."
Rock legends Madness took to the stage with an energetic performance of It Must Be Love and Mr Apples before the finalists
While last night's show had the 12 finalists appear, the real X Factor also-rans turned up tonight in finale tradition.
Sada Vidoo very nearly stole the show with her doll outfit and incredibly powerful voice.
Conquering queens Little Mix returned to the X Factor stage alongside Charlie Puth to perform Oops and then went on to sing Touch.
The four strong girl band stripped off to show their sexy side for the second song.
