Ellie Goulding reconciles with husband on condition she cuts contact with Zac Goldsmith
ELLIE GOULDING has reconciled with her husband, three months after they separated.
I first told in June how the chart-topping pop star was spending time apart from art dealer Caspar Jopling after almost four years of marriage.
But now I can reveal they have had a change of heart and are giving their relationship another go on one condition — she cuts contact with Tory politician Zac Goldsmith, who she has been growing close to for months.
A source close to the singer, who has a son with Caspar, said: “Ellie has ended things with Zac for the sake of her marriage. She is determined to make things work with Caspar and is committed to giving things another go.
“Caspar has made it clear that they can only try again if she completely cuts off her friendship with Zac and she has agreed.
“That has meant no seeing each other, no calls and she’s even unfollowed him on Instagram.

Time apart
“She knows it is the right thing to do for the sake of their young son because she wants them to be a proper family unit.
“It has been an incredibly tough year for both Ellie and Caspar but they have had some very frank conversations and are both on the same page. There is a lot of love between them.”
Zac's spokesperson declined to comment.
Ellie and Caspar’s hectic schedules earlier this year meant they had struggled to see each other, so decided to spend time apart.

However, they were both insistent that they would remain close for the sake of their son.
Friends had hoped they would be able to rekindle their relationship, although her growing closeness to multi-millionaire peer Zac sparked concerns.
They became friendly after bonding over their shared passion for the environment.
That coincided with Zac’s divorce from his wife of ten years, Alice Rothschild, which was announced in March.
Ellie last week hinted at change in her life as she posted a poem by Diego Perez on her Instagram Story about “moving on”.
It read: “It is only heavy because you are deciding over and over again to carry it.
“Embrace change, loosen up your sense of identity, let yourself walk a new path.
“You do not have to ignore or erase the past, you just have to wholeheartedly embrace the present and move on.”
While she has had a tough time personally, this year has seen Ellie’s career go from strength to strength. She spent eight weeks at No1 with her Calvin Harris collaboration Miracle and scored her fourth No1 album with Higher Than Heaven.
Ellie has previously dated DJ Skrillex as well as Radio 1 host Greg James and McFly bassist Dougie Poynter.
Her management team have always insisted there was nothing romantic between her and Zac.
Last month they were seen laughing together near Ellie’s home in West London, which Zac lives close to.

Then, over the weekend, he shared a photo on Instagram of a bronze he had sculpted which is believed to have been of Ellie.
After he was asked about the piece in the comments, he replied: “I just do it in spare time — subjects I love, mostly animals or human/animal love.”
