When is The Apprentice 2016 final on BBC ONE and who is in the running to be Lord Sugar’s next Apprentice?
NOW in its twelfth year, this year's series of The Apprentice has seen eighteen candidates battle it out to impress Lord Sugar and his aides Karren and Claude.
This year's series has included rumours of a love affair, shock double firings and an Apprentice first - a candidate walking out on the show.
But who is still in the running to become Lord Sugar's next apprentice?
Who is still in the running?
Courtney Wood and Alana Spencer will go head to head in this year's final to compete for the top prize - a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar himself.
The pair managed to beat three other candidates to bag the final two places.
In Sunday's finale, Alana and Courtney will be joined by previous Apprentice rejects to help assist them in launching a brand and pitching to industry experts.
Alana Spencer
Cake company owner Alana Spencer is the youngest candidate left running for Lord Sugar's top job.
She's been in front of Lord Sugar's firing line three times in the series, and has won one task as project manager - where her team succeeded in creating corporate candy.
Alana hit the headlines earlier in the series for her shocking race rants against the travelling community.
Issuing an apology, the baker said: “They were the words of a naive young girl from a number of years ago and I would never write such things now."
If she were to win the show, Alana wishes to use Lord Sugar's investment to develop her cake businesses on a countrywide scale.
Courtney Wood
Also competing for the prize is the only male left in the competition, novelty gift company owner Courtney Wood.
Courtney has impressed in the series so far, and has yet to come under scrutiny of Lord Sugar in the boardroom.
Now-fired candidate Sofiane Khelfa has previously hinted to romance rumours between Courtney and fellow semi-finalist Jessica.d
When is the final on?
The Apprentice final will air Sunday 18 December at 9pm on BBC ONE.
The winner of the show will receive a £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar to develop their business.
Typically, the final task features two finalists battling it out against each other, supported by previous candidates who have been fired by Lord Sugar and his team earlier that series.
Where are the previous winners now?
The Apprentice is in it's twelfth year, and has had some notable candidates along the way.
Series 6 winner Stella English was brought up by her great-aunt on a council estate in London and left school with zero qualifications.
However, the ambitious 36-year-old managed to work her way up to the head of business management at a Japanese investment bank - earning £80,000-a-year - before winning The Apprentice in 2010.
Stella walked out after 13 months of employment when told her contract would not be renewed and claimed she was just an 'overpaid lackey', she unsuccessfully sued Lord Sugar for constructive dismissal.
Ricky Martin won the series in 2012, the 32-year-old former pro-wrestler used Sir Alan's £250,000 investment to set up Hyper Recruitment Solutions, which specialises in scientific recruitment.
And who could forget last year's winner Joseph Valente?
Joseph has used the £250k investment to expand his business, which maintains and installs plumbing, heating and electrical products.
He hopes to bring the Peterborough-based business to London in the next five years and take on the likes of British Gas.
