Hollywood star Idris Elba reveals he’s been in therapy for a year because of ‘addiction’
IDRIS Elba has revealed he has been in therapy for a year — because he is a workaholic.
The 51-year-old Luther actor branded his addiction “unhealthy”.
Three-times married Idris told a podcast: “I’ve been in therapy for about a year now.
"It’s a lot.
“It’s because I have unhealthy habits.
“I work in an industry that I’m rewarded for those unhealthy habits.

“I’m an absolute workaholic and that isn’t great for life.
"I could work ten days on underwater sequences holding my breath for six minutes, come back and feel more relaxed than sitting on the sofa with the family which is bad, right?”
As well as acting work, Idris, who found fame in the 2002 TV show The Wire, is a DJ and rapper.
He has a daughter and son Winston with ex-partners and wed model Sabrina Dhowre in 2019.
