VICTORIA'S Secret angel Candice Swanepoel has slammed double standards that see her being shamed for breastfeeding in public but not for her topless shoots.
The top model gave birth to a baby boy named Anacã with her fiance Hermann Nicoli in October but says she feel pressure to 'cover up' when she's feeding her child.
Taking to Instagram, she shared a snap of her breastfeeding and wrote a lengthy post about society's double standards when it comes to women and their breasts.
She wrote: "Many women today are shamed for breastfeeding in public, or even kicked out of public places for feeding their children.
"I have been made to feel the need to cover up and somewhat shy to feed my baby in public places but strangely feel nothing for the topless editorials I've done in the name of art..?
"The world has been desensitized to the sexualization of the breast and to violence on tv...why should it be different when it comes to breastfeeding?
"Breastfeeding is not sexual it's natural- Those who feel it is wrong to feed your child in public need to get educated on the benefits breastfeeding has on mother and child and intern on society as a whole. 💪🏼💙 👫👭 #mothernature. (sic)"
Earlier the same day, Candice, 28, shared another black and white snap of her feeding her son with his little hand resting on her chest.
She captioned the picture with a simple love heart and a hand emoji.
Since giving birth to her first-born, the blonde beauty has been sharing lots of sweet snaps of her new arrival.
Last week, she posted a picture of Anacã resting on her shoulder.
She wrote: "2 months of pure joy with my little love.💙 👪."
Candice has been dating Brazilian model Hermann since 2005 and the couple announced their engagement last year.
However, they have yet to announce to a wedding date as they announced their pregnancy just a few months later.
