Towie fans react with shock as Danielle Armstrong’s final scenes see her lock horns with ex-James Lock one more time
The reality stars struggled to make amends before Danielle departed the ITVBe series

TOWIE fans were left in shock on Monday night after Danielle Armstrong final scene featured a bitter exchange with ex-James Lock.
The reality star quit the ITVBe show to focus on her new relationship with millionaire ex-footballer Daniel Spiller, and potentially enter the Celebrity Big Brother house in January.
On Monday night, her last appearance aired, with fans on tenterhooks as to whether she could makes amends with her former flame.
But as the pair stood outside the Snow Place Like Essex party thrown by Megan McKenna and Pete Wicks, the exes struggled to bury the hatchet.
James started well with an apology, after he angered Dani by discussing his new lady on Sunday night's show, saying she was 'his type' and implying Dani never had been during their on-off relationship.
He said: "I’m sorry for looking for a rise out of you. I felt like you were looking for a rise out of me. Maybe I got it wrong.
"What bothers me is loyalty, I’m old school. You’ve just finished any chance of me ever being friends with you, what you’ve done you’ve pulled my heart out."
However fans of the show were quick to hit back at the hunk, after he had cheated on Dani during their romance.
One wrote on Twitter: He has got some nerve to talk about loyalty when all he's done is cheat and make her cry throughout their relationship #TOWIE" while another added: "Why can't Lockie just man up with danni".
However Danielle was having none of it, raising her voice as they spoke over each other.
She said: "You’re annoying me, I was a good girlfriend to you, I’m not having it.
"I’ve never cheated on you, I have done nothing but support you. Do not sit here and say I’m not a loyal person."
As she fought back tears, James hissed: "You f***ing killed any f***ing respect I had for you.
"You’ve made your bed now lie in it."
Danielle replied: "I’ll happily lie in it!"
Fans couldn't believe the bitterness between the pair, with one writing on Twitter: "Jesus that got nasty #TOWIE".
Danielle and James managed to calm down, and she explained how she felt like they were going round in circles.
She said: "This is why we can’t be around each other because this just happens.
"We’ve been through so much with each other, I thought I was going to spend my life with you.
"I do feel like I’ve lost my best friend, in an ideal world I would have wanted us to be together but it didn’t’ work out like that."
James agreed, saying: "I don’t regret none of that, it’s a shame how things have played out but maybe everything happens for a reason."
Trying to salvage the emotional situation, he added: "I do wish you all the best, I mean that.

It was all too much for some viewers, with one writing on the social media site: "Omg this is too sad I love Dani and Lockie".

Speaking in a clip on the ITV Towie page after the show aired, Danielle insisted she had got some closure from the conversation with James, and confirmed her departure from the series.

"I just want everyone to know that this is something I have been thinking about for the last month, six weeks, and I feel like all the viewers that love the show has seen me and James and our whole mental relationship. Go from the makeups, the breakups, the tears, the dramas, everything.
"The last thing I wanted was to leave tonight knowing we didn’t leave things on good terms.
"Liverpool wasn’t nice at all and the last thing I wanted was us just never to talk again but I’ve managed to have a bit of closure.

"I will still obviously be in touch with everyone but I feel like after tonight I’ve said my goodbyes, I’ve had my closure and I can now look forward to my future."
