Coronation Street’s Helen Flanagan embroiled in shocking drugs scandal storyline when she makes her Cobbles comeback after four year break
The returning soap actress lands herself in trouble as she returns to Corrie next year
RETURNING Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan will be embroiled in a drugs scandal storyline when she makes her Cobbles comeback.
The star, who will be back on screen as Rosie Webster next year after a four year break, will have her home searched by cops after bringing back cocaine from America.
Her and sister Sophie, played by Brooke Vincent, 24, will return from travelling with the substance and immediately face police after they search the Webster house.
No drugs are found, but when Sophie asks her sister to open her bag full of sweets she discovers cocaine.
The sisters then decide to bury it, but Ken Barlow’s grandson Adam finds out and offers to sell it for the girls.

They later confide in mechanic dad Kevin, played by Michael Le Vell, who confronts Adam.
A source said: “Trouble is never far away from the Websters.
“This is the reason they wanted Helen back as Rosie as she immediately brings great storylines with her.
“Rosie tells Sophie someone planted the drugs on her, and is as shocked as her sister when she sees the white powder.
“The girls panic and decide to bury the drugs but Adam Barlow finds out what they have done and offers to sell the drugs for a fee.
“But, Kevin's business is struggling following an arson attack and he needs money. So he takes matters into his own hands.”
Bosses have been trying to persuade Helen to come back after she filmed her final scenes in 2012 to go into the I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! jungle.
They were desperate to get some glamour back into the long-running soap after actresses Georgia May Foote, 25, and Michelle Keegan, 29, both quit.
The soap veteran is returning to the cobbles in the new year as wildchild Rosie Webster and will take home £30,000 for an initial three month stint back.
At the time of the announcement, show producer Kate Oates said: “The Websters have missed Rosie and so have we.
“With Sophie away on holiday with her sister it seemed like the ideal time to bring Rosie back home with her for a visit.
“We are delighted that Helen is as keen explore what Rosie has been up to away from the cobbles as we are.”
