Matt Terry laughs off Freddy romance rumours as he describes them as the new Harry and Louis
Singer compared their friendship to the One Direction heartthrobs bromance
MATT Terry has compared his relationship with Freddy Parker to the bromance between Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
The X Factor winner has had to deal with rumours he is dating his fellow singer after the pair appeared to lock lips during the show's final earlier this month.
Both lads dismissed the claims, and Matt has insisted on a number of occasions they are just best friends.
And speaking to , he said: "People must think I'm greedy! It's a bromance not a romance with Freddy.
"There was no kiss - we're like brothers. He's one of my closest mates."
However the pair didn't help matters last week when The Sun Online revealed ahead of Matt tweeting the news, that they were moving in together.
But the star - who has signed a recording deal with RCA and not Simon Cowell's Syco label - compared the move and his relationship with Freddy to that of former One Direction stars Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson.
The band mates lived together at the beginning of their music careers after finding fame on the seventh series of The X Factor in 2010.
They too ended up on the receiving end of rumours that they were secretly a couple, with fans of the pair nicknaming them Larry Stylinson, despite both denying their relationship was anything more than platonic friendship.
Asked how Freddy had reacted to the rumours about their 'romance', Matt added to Star: "He was asking me if I'm OK and I was like, 'It's fine, it doesn't matter.
"'Don't worry mate, we'll be the next Louis Tomlinson and Harry Styles!"
However Matt did tell OK! Magazine he loved Freddy, who was voted off the latest series in week two, and that they had just hit it off from the start and have been “best friends ever since”.
He said: “I love Freddy but he’s not my type! No kiss happened!”
