Coronation Street’s Toyah Battersby revealed as Peter Barlow’s mystery woman as Christmas chaos comes to the cobbles
Peter and Leanne's sister have been having a secret affair for months
TOYAH Battersby has been revealed as Peter Barlow's secret lover has been revealed on Coronation Street.
The missing Battersby sister - who is played by Georgia Taylor - found herself back on the street and with her sister's ex-husband and she was quickly revealed to be Peter's mystery woman.
She arrived on the street in her car, still dressed in her pyjamas after leaving her husband for good, much to Leanne's concern.
"This last year we spent more time sulking than talking," Toyah explained.
"All I said was 'Ty, can you move your vinyl' because there was no space to put Si's campbed and he just flipped so I said to him, 'look, pull yourself together, make my family welcome or I'm out of here'.
"I just upped and went. My dignity. Now he knows I'm in love with someone else, I've been seeing him for months."
But then Toyah admitted that she had a mystery man, but didn't confess it was Peter.
"Started about six months ago, I was visiting a mate down south, out of all the bars in all the world," she said.
"He's down in my phone as Fred, it's an in joke. Don't worry you won't get landed with me."
Briefly interrupted by Leanne's other sister Eva turning up to collect her kitten-shaped present for boyfriend Aidan, Toyah was stropped from confessing all.
Meanwhile, outside Peter and Nick got into a fight as Nick convinced himself that Peter was trying to seduce Leanne with a Bros tape.
The pair brawled in the street as Peter hurled one of Sally's gnomes at the back of Nick's head before Peter landed two punches on straight into Nick's face.
But as Nick cradled his bleeding face on the floor, Leanne and Toyah walked out of the flat to see the carnage.
Nick demanded Leanne go through Peter's pockets and open the present in them and when she did, she was horrified by finding the Bros tape and the tag that read "to the love of my life".
Peter tried to explain away the tape, insisting it was just a present for the mother of his child before storming off, insisting he was going to an AA meeting.
But when he arrived at a hotel bar, drinking water, viewers were no doubt shocked when Toyah turned up and the pair began passionately kissing.
"We can't keep sneaking around, it's not fair on Leanne," said Toyah as the pair lay in bed after their liaison.

"The reason we kept this whole thing a secret was for Leanne, because we know she'll flip," said Peter.
"She'll understand because she used to love you like I love you," said Toyah. "Well, maybe a little bit less."
Then the pair agreed to tell Leanne the truth on Boxing Day, no matter the consequences.
