The nineties singer has been left on crutches after shredding his calf muscle during a dance routine
BOYBAND star Lee Brennan was rushed to hospital after shredding his calf muscle during his lead Panto role in Aladdin.
The 911 star was forced to dial 999 in excruciating pain after feeling his leg rip while performing a dance routine at last night’s production at The Pomegranate Theatre in Chesterfield.
He was tended to at the side of stage before ploughing on in agony until the final curtain call when he was taken to A&E at Chesterfield Royal Hospital to be treated.
A source said: “Lee was giving it his all and felt his leg pop and panicked, thinking he had broken it.
“He hopped to the side of stage, but was unsure just how badly he was injured and somehow managed to finish the show hopping around each scene while the cast worked around him.
“He went straight to A&E after where he was told he had badly torn his calf muscle and would be on crutches for four to six weeks.”
Lee stars alongside Atomic Kitten’s Liz McClarnon as Princess Jasmine in the production.
The brave star has previously battled back from childhood cancer, which he revealed in 2014 had left him infertile due to the chemo.
He said at the time: “I've never spoken about this but obviously chemotherapy affects you.
“Sadly, I can't have children. I only found that out five years ago.”
