Charlotte Crosby’s mum left in a wheelchair after nightmare accident on holiday in the Maldives

CHARLOTTE Crosby shared the jaw-dropping news of her mum's accident on social media.

The Geordie Shore star has been enjoying a luxurious trip to the Maldives over the festive season - joined by her family.

Charlotte has been documenting the idyllic getaway on her Instagram page and has now given her followers a glimpse into her mum Letitia's misfortune whilst abroad.

Writing to her Instagram stories, Charlotte penned: "It was so sad saying bye to mam and dad and Nathaniel. This trip has truly been so special. So many special memories I will cherish. In actual paradise.

"My mam was crying her eyes out. She's really had the best time of her life, we all have!"

Charlotte went on to reveal: "Now she's in a bloody wheelchair because seconds after this she rolled her ankle and literally can't put any weight on it!"

Alongside the news of Letitia's painful mishap, Charlotte shared a clip of her mum and dad waving her off as she embarked on a boat trip across the ocean with her Fiancé Jake Ankers and their daughter, Alba.

The star also explained that they are heading off to another island during their time away.

She wrote: "Island hopping today. Time to pack up and leave this beautiful island. Onto the next...my mam, dad and Nathaniel leave today. We had such a lovely last night with them.

"The first time I've had a drink this holiday and wow believe me when I say I was DRUNK.

During their magical stay, Charlotte splashed out an eye-watering £2k-a-night hotel - boasting infinity pools and floating villas.

Located on the Raa Atoll, in the northern part of the Maldives, the five-star hotel offers cuisine from all over the world and is surrounded by glittering white sand.

With 20 hectares of private land, 120 villas and 60 of them directly on the sea, the families trip sounds truly amazing.
