While the late entry contestants expected on Friday remain a mystery, a number of high-profile names have been mentioned.

Former X Factor favourites – and previous 2011 contestants – Jedward (aka John and Edward Grimes) had previously been suggested (and they recently announced 2017 would be “Jepic” on Twitter).

Another ex-X Factor star linked to the new series is Sam Callahan – who is said to be keen for a career boost after he endured a sex act video leak last year as his singing career stalled.

It might also be possible that Celebrity Big Brother spin-off host Rylan Clark could enter the house on Friday as well - as it has been reported he will be going back inside the camera-filled enclosure for a showdown with former rivals Spencer and Heidi.
