I used to laugh at Brooklyn Beckham’s cooking but then I tried his Nan Peggy’s sandwich and was left stunned

HE’S been so badly battered by the Nepo-Baby stick in the past, I’m surprised Brooklyn Beckham hasn’t needed resuscitation at some point.

Don’t get me wrong, I’ve raised my eyebrows countless times at the new avenues Brooklyn, the eldest son of Posh and Becks, has explored over the years.

And his foray into the world of cuisine has given me more than a few good laughs.

But, readers, I am putting my hands up: that boy can cook.

After teaming up with Uber Eats to give fans a 48-hour window to taste some of his creations, I had to get involved – and I’m glad I did.

I ordered his breakfast sandwich, inspired by his nan Peggy and mocked mercilessly by the public after he cooked it live on US TV.

Honestly, it tasted amazing. The egg, bacon and sausage ratio was perfect – and I almost wished I had a hangover because it would have tasted even better.

Brooklyn said of the sarnie: “My Nanny Peggy taught me how to make her English Breakfast sandwich when I was five, and it’s been my favourite ever since.

“I’ve always been into trying different foods, cuisines, and cultures, but that was one of my earliest memories of loving cooking.

“Spending time in the kitchen is definitely something me and my dad bond over… even though I think I make my English Breakfast sandwich better, he does make a pretty good one.”

My second order, Brooklyn’s Wagyu Bolognese, was also very tasty, with a rich sauce and pasta that was on the right side of al dente.

His pop up kitchen closes today and, sadly, is only in London.

Next time, Brooklyn, you need to get this nationwide.
